Waterloo Rheumatology

Your visit

Check your appointment time

You would have been contacted directly for the appointment time. New referral and follow-up appointments can expect a reminder call or email a few days beforehand.

If you can't make it, we kindly ask for a minimum 48-hour cancellation notice — just give us a call and let us know if we can reschedule.

What to bring

Please bring:

  • A valid health card.

  • Shorts and a t-shirt for the physical exam.

  • An up-to-date list of your medications or your medication bottles.

Your Visit

Arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to get settled in. We will begin by asking questions to see how you're doing and then do a physical exam. Next, you'll review test results and come up with a plan together on what to do going forwards.

Make sure you don’t run out of time for your visit. Set aside 1.5 hours if you’re here as a new patient or 1 hour if you’re here for a follow-up. Your visit will be unlikely to take that long, though.

We do our best to stay on time; occasionally, unexpected urgent or complex situations arise that cause delay in clinic. We appreciate your patience as we strive to give everyone the time they deserve during their visit.

Parking

Parking is free and plentiful.
